BAGAN

Bagan city is a rich and glorious place where 55 kings ruled consecutively for 12 centuries. This magical city is the largest and richest archaeological site in South-East Asia. Composed by a thousand of ancient monuments (from 9thto 13th centuries temples, pagodas, stupas, etc.) and numerous ruins that still exist nowadays. This city classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site is a destination holding numerous statues of Buddha, paintings, traditional costumes, jewelry, wooden sculptures and lots of artefacts from ancient Bagan.

INLE LAKE

Located in the mountains of Shan State in eastern Burma. This freshwater lake is one of the top touristic destinations in Myanmar.
The villagers of this lake live together in houses on stilts emerging from the lake (especially in Inthas and Shans), they are all fishermen and farmers. They grow vegetables and fruits on floating gardens.
When you are at the Inle lake, it is interesting to spend your day in a real floating market. You will discover how the local people make trade on the lake by traditional boat, motorized canoes or also by standing on one leg at the stern and the other leg wrapped around the oar, this way of rowing is unique to the Inle Lake.

YANGON

Located in the South of the Golf of Martaban, the region of Yangon is the most developed and the principal financial hub of the country. The majority of the businesses of the country are situated in the area.
However, agriculture, breeding and fishing are the main activities.
Many natural resources can also be found such as precious gems, gaz, precious metals, marble and precious wood (teck).
Benefiting of a tropical climate, there is only two season, the dry and the rainy season.
The average annual temperature is of 28ºC.

Myanmar :

Central Myanmar: Bagan, Mandalay, Inle Lake

Nov – Feb: 20 to 30 °C, dry, enjoyable, ideal. 

Mar – May: 30 to 35°C, rather hot, dry. 

June – Oct: 25 to 35°C, occasional showers.

Note: The rain between June and October greens everything, best time to visit natural sites.

Southern Myanmar: Yangon, Ngapaly Beach

Nov – Feb: 20 to 30 °C, dry, enjoyable, ideal.

Mar – May: 30 to 35°C, rather hot, dry. Ideal for beach holidays.

Mountain areas: Shan (Center-East) and Chin (Center-West) States and Kalaw

Nov – Feb: 5 to 25 °C, dry, enjoyable. Cold at night, make sure to have warm clothes.

Mar – May: 20 to 30°C, enjoyable, dry, ideal. Perfect for trekking.
Jun – Oct: 10 to 35°C, high humidity and cold in evenings, occasional showers.

Note: The Northern State of Kachin is difficult to access which is why it is not included in the itineraries. Can be included upon request for special trekking tours.

VIENTIANE

Vientiane, the capital of Laos, located in an area where landscapes vary between flat and fertile plains of  the Mekong valley and the limestone mountains of the northwest.
The countryside around the city is wonderfully filled with rice plateaux, tropical fruit trees and jungles dotted by small quaint villages. The traditional architecture of the city and its temples has attracted numerous tourists.
The city of Vientiane was built on the curve of the Mekong river during the 16th century. The old part of Vientiane is charming and very intriguing, it is where ancient temples, museums, parks and monuments meets and are spread all over the area. Vientiane is known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere, its old colonial villas that making this city a must see for all travelers worldwide.

PAKSÉ

Pakse, capital of Champassak region in the Southern of Laos, is famous for producing one of the best Arabica coffees in the world, it is also known for its beautiful orchids, its textile products and its traditional weavings, unique of the Lao’s ethnicity.
Paksé city was found in 1905 by the French colonists. This city is very interesting for its colonial style buildings and especially the great buildings of the Chinese Society (Franco-Chinese Style), the huge market Talat Dao Heung and its imposing temples of Wat Luang and Wat Tham Fai.
Not far from the city you can visit The Vat Phou Temple (also knwon as Wat Phu Champasak) which was registered by the UNESCO as World Heritage attracting numerous travelers each year thanks to its beautiful Khmer’s architecture and the its mysterious atmosphere.

LUANG PRABANG

In the north of Laos, Lies Luang Prabang. Located at approximately 360 km away from Vientiane, it was classified as a UNESCO World heritage in 1995, the city is known to be the birthplace of the Lao culture because of its numerous monasteries, temples and other historical monumentssurrounding the area.
Beside tourism its main sources of income are agriculture (rice, corn, tabacco, coton and coffee) and breeding (cows, buffaloes, pigs, goats, sheeps, poultry, etc.)
There are dozens of ethnic minorities living in the area from which the most present are the Khmus and the H’mongs.
In this region we can observe two different seasons: The dry and the rainy season. The annual average temperature is about 26ºC.

Northern Laos:

Oct -April: 20 to 30°C, dry. Cool weather from December to February: 12 to 24°C.

May -Sept: 25 to 35°C, occasional showers. Rainy period from July to August: 30 to 38°C.

Note: Be careful on the mountain roads that become slippery in July and August.

Southern Laos:

All year: 20 to30°C.

June- August: occasional showers.

Note: The showers are not frequent and heavy enough to disturb the visits during the rainy season.

Phnom Penh the capital of Cambodia, is located on the confluence of three rivers, the Mekong, the Bassac and the Tonlé Sap.

In addition, the presence of French colonial buildings, temples, and especially the giant Angkorian architecture, make this city a great destination to explore. SIEM REAP

Located in the north-west of Cambodia. It is an interesting city which attracts millions of tourists each year, especially for the famous Angkor Complex (UNESCO World Heritage).
It is located in the North-East of the largest sweet water reservoir in Southeast of Asia, the great Tonle Sap lake and surrounded by lots of rice fields and other agricultural plantations.|

You will especially appreciate its preserved architecture of colonial style following the typical Khmer traditions. And of course it is the home of the Angkor Complex, ruined city of the ancient Khmer dynasty.

Note: The European winter is the best period to combine Cambodia and the Mekong Delta.

HANOI

Situated in the Red River Delta, Hanoi is a city formed by the alluvial of the Red River and its tributaries. Today this city is changing, like its country but still preserves many of its ancient monuments and ruins. The cultural architectural works being intimately marked by the history of Vietnam and its legends, it creates stunning visuals and a very mystical atmosphere. The numerous gardens,trees and lakes provide a peacfull scenary.
Benefiting of a tropical climate, there are essentially two main seasons : winter from November to April , quite cool and dry; February and March are slightly rainy. The summer, the hot and humid season with heavy rains and storms runs from May to October. The annual average temperature is 23ºC, with an average of 17ºC in winter (minimum of 7ºC) and 29ºC in summer (maximum of 38ºC).

HALONG

HOI AN

Hoi An city is located in the center of central of Vietnam, 30km south of Danang and is considered the most charming city of Vietnam. It is one of the few cities in Asia which architecture have remained almost intact. Between the XVIth and the XVIIIth centuries, this agricultural area was one of the main ports of Asia, especially for Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and French merchants. The ancient streets, houses, temples and pagodas have been carefully preserved. The mixed from European’s elements makes Hoi An city the most charming city of Vietnam.
In addition to its natural beauty, Hoi An has many architectural and cultural heritage, some of which were recognized as UNESCO World Heritage.
In Hoi An, you can find or buy easily valuable essences like ironwood, ebony and rosewood.
The first local were the ancestors of the powerful and fascinating Cham civilization.

HO CHI MINH CITY

Previously known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh city is carved by hundreds of rivers and arroyos.
There you can find numerous buildings with interesting architecture marked by the european and the sino vietnamese origins of the city, the region is also known for its flower villages and its luxurious gardens. There is an incredible energy emerging from this city which is the economic capital of Vietnam no wander why this city is called “the city that never sleeps” .
