DAY 1 : YOUR CITY flight MANDALAY

Departure at your own expense from the airport of your choice; registration formalities for the flight to Mandalay.

DAY 2 : MANDALAY

You will be welcomed at the airport by your guide and transferred to the city.
The visit will begin with the Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, known as the “Great Marble Buddha” as well as the Shwenandaw Monastery“The Golden Monastery“.
Afterwards, you will have free time to check-in at the hotel, then we will go back to discover Mandalay with the visit of the Mahamuni Pagoda and craft workshops.

DAY 3 : MANDALAY / SAGAING / AMARAPURA / MANDALAY

This day begins by strolling along the large morning market near the city center. We will stop at a local tea shop for a cup of Myanmar milk tea. We will cross a bridge over the Irrawaddy River to Sagaing.
You will visit several pagodas : Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin, U Min Thone Sae and Shin Nan Pin Gyaing of Sagaing Hill, considered the spiritual center of Myanmar. Then, we will go to a small village known for its potters using ancestral techniques, as well as in the village of Kan Daw where you will discover the production of longyis and other textiles. We will enjoy a cup of tea with a family who will be happy to meet you.
Afterwards, we will go to Amarapura where you will have the chance to pass through the monastery of Mahagandayon and the famous bridge U Bein. Finally, you will enjoy a beautiful sunset from the bridge before returning to Mandalay where you will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 4 : MANDALAY / PO WIN TAUNG / MONYWA

Road towards Monywa. On the way stop at an enormous Buddhist pagoda. Then, visit the Boditahtaung pagoda, where you will see the biggest statue of Buddha
In the afternoon, get to Po Win Taung then road towards Shwe Ba Taung, where you will stroll around the area where many temples and monasteries are carved directly in the mountain.

DAY 5 : MONYWA / PAKOKKU / BAGAN

We will leave in the morning on a small road along the river, an itinerary rarely used by travelers, so you will experiment the real Myanmar’s life in the countryside, with its authentic villages, farm work, unspoiled landscapes… We will also stop in a village to meet the warm people of Myanmar who will share their culture with you.
Then we will head to Pakokku where we will get on board for a short cruise in the direction of Bagan. If we have enough time, the boat will stop at theKyauk Gu U Min temple. Upon arrival in Bagan, you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 6 : BAGAN

In order to have a magnificent viewpoint on the Plain of Bagan, we will go to the top of a hill where you will also visit the Ananda temple. Other temples with varied architecture will be given to you to discover in the valley. Life has not stopped along its temples, you will witness it with the daily activities of the families, especially the farm work.
Then you will visit a lacquer shop to discover the traditional techniques and one of the most popular workshops of the country. At the end of the afternoon, you will go for a carriage ride in the area of the temples; you will visit Thatbyinnyu, Dhammayangyi and Sulamani where you will enjoy a magical moment: the sunset.

DAY 7 : BAGAN

To begin this day in Bagan, you will stroll to the living Nyaung Oo marketand discover the Shwezigon Pagoda. We will go to a small village to discover the way of life of the inhabitants of Bagan. We will continue off the beaten path by exploring lesser-known and protected of mass tourism monuments during a small excursion.
We will then leave Bagan to discover its countryside and more specifically the Minnanthu village and its temples Payathonzu, Lemyentha and Nandamannya. We will also stop at the Kyat Kan Monastery located in a cave. Stop to another worth seeing village : Myinkaba, where you will take a walk to discover its inhabitants and craftsmen. Finally, you will visit the temples of Gu Byaukgyi and Nan Paya.

DAY 8 : BAGAN / KALAW

Drive to Kalaw through the magnificent mountain roads punctuated with small villages and countryside where we will make several stops to enjoy the view that is offered to us with its grandiose landscapes.
We will arrive in Kalaw in the afternoon and you will have free time in this charming little town of mountains.

DAY 9 : KALAW / WA GYI MYAUNG

You will be transferred to Tha Yet Pu village for 2 days hiking around Inle Lake. First, you will walk to Kan Par Ni village where you will stop to enjoy a cup of tea, then you will go to Su Pan Inn to enjoy a good lunch in a local house or a monastery. Continue on your way to the Chaung Char villagewhere the path to Wa Gyi Myaung will become steeper, but the reward you will get when you arrive will be worth it. You will have free time to discover the village and to meet very warm and welcoming locals.
Dinner in a local house or in a monastery. Night homestay or in a monastery.

DAY 10 : WA GYI MYAUNG / KHAUNG DINE / INLE LAKE

You will wake up surrounded by a magical environment in this small village far from everything. You will have breakfast and start your hike. You will go to the Khaung Daine village by crossing the rice fields and the valleys. There, you will take a boat that will sail on the lake to your hotel.

DAY 11 : INLE LAKE

You will visit the Inle Lake market and then take a boat trip to discover the main sites of the lake. On the way, you will pass through different villages of Intha, and have the opportunity to observe their incredible floating gardensand the unique style of fishermen paddling on one leg. You will visit the Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery and its collection of Buddha statues as well as the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda.
Finally, discover the Inle Lake craftsmanship by visiting Inpawkhone village known for its lotus fiber weaving, cigars and silver.

DAY 12 : INLE LAKE / HEHO flight NGAPALI BEACH

Transfer to Heho airport for your flight to Thandwe. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a staff member for your check in.

You will pass through the lively districts of Chinatown and Little India before stopping at the Sri Kali temple, the most colorful of Hindu temples in Yangon. You will also have the opportunity to stroll the Theingyi Zei marketand visit the Kyaukhtatgyi and Shwedagon Pagodas.

DAY 4 : BAGAN

After visiting the Nyaung Oo Market and the famous Shwezigon Pagoda, take the dusty roads and shady paths lined with temples and monasteries to discover the villages and their inhabitants. Walk in the site of Bagan to discover its multiple temples and enjoy the view.

DAY 5 : BAGAN boat MANDALAY

Embark on the Irrawaddy River from Bagan to Mandalay, relax on the deck and enjoy the Burmese scenery along the river.
You will be able to observe the life of the Burmese, the farmers, the fishermen and their traditional techniques, the ships transporting various goods and the women washing the linen among the children who play in the water.

DAY 6 : MANDALAY / AMARAPURA

Your day begins with a visit of Kyauktawgyi and Kuthodaw pagodas before you discover the Shwenandaw monastery, known as the “Golden Monastery” and the last vestige of the Royal Palace that survived during the 19th century. You will then have the opportunity to visit the most beautiful craft workshop of Burma producing wooden sculpture, Kalaga tapestries, making gold leaf …
Next step: Amarapura, the penultimate royal capital of Burma. Your visit will begin with the Mahagandayon monastery, home to more than a thousand young monks, then the legendary U Bein bridge, the longest teak bridge in the world built in 1782. Enjoy the special atmosphere at sunset…

DAY 7 : SAGAING / AVA

Start the day with a walk in the big market, close to the city centre, stroll, stop for a cup of burman milk tea in a stall. You will cross the bridge to discover Sagaing and its hill of 600 pagodas and monasteries of ivory.
Visit the Swan Oo Pon Nya Shin, U Min Thone Sae and Shin Nan Pin Gyaing pagodas before heading towards the Sagaing market.
On the way to Ava, stop in a village of potters, then crossing by ferry to reach a monastery famous for its wooden sculptures: Bagaya. Finally, discover the Nanmyint tower, the remains of the ancient palace and the palace of Maha Augmye Bonzan.

DAY 8 : MANDALAY flight HEHO / PINDAYA

Transfer to Mandalay airport for your flight to Heho.
Drive to the caves of Pindaya before visiting the pagodas of Shwe U Min. You will also have the chance to discover a local workshop and its traditional techniques for making red paper umbrellas.
Meals at your charge. Night in Pindaya.

DAY 9 : PINDAYA / HTUT NI / SEE KYA INN / YAZAGYI / TAUNG MYINT GYI

Walk through spectacular tea plantations to the village of Htut Ni to meet members of the Danu ethnic group. On the way, stop at the village See Kya,located in a thick forest to be welcomed and lunch with a family. Stop at another village called Yazakyi for a warm encounter with members of the Palaung community.
Arrival at Taung Myint Gyi where you will spend an unforgettable night in the monastery.

DAY 10 : TAUNG MYINT GYI / YA GYI / PWE PYAT

Walk to the village of Ya Gyi followed by a slight descent towards Pwe Pyat, you will be amazed by the beauty of the landscapes. Your trek will end at Pwe Pyat village before being transferred to Nyaung Shwe, gateway to Inle Lake (32 km – 1 hour drive).
Possibility to stop along the way to visit the traditional craft factories.
Visit the Shweyanpyay Teak Monastery. Boat trip to reach and visit the main sites of Inle Lake, on the way, you will pass through several villages along Intha Lake.

DAY 11 : INLE LAKE

After breakfast, you will visit the lake’s market. Excursion on Lake Intha to observe their amazing floating gardens and the unique style of the Inle fishermen who row standing with only one leg.
Visit the Nga Hpe Chaung Monastery and its collection of Buddha statues, as well as the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Discover the varied crafts of Inle, visit the village of Inpawkhone known for its weaving lotus fibers, its workshop of cheroots (Burmese cigars) and its workshop of silver.

DAY 12 : INDEIN

After breakfast, you will visit the lake’s market and then, a one-hour trip will take you to Pa-Oh Indein village. Stroll through the village before you begin your ascent to the top of the hill. The Indein Pagoda complex is one of the lake’s most impressive sites, consisting of a hundred stupas covered with moss and greenery.
During the return trip, you can stop at Inthar Heritage House a not-for-profit organisation that preserves the cultural and natural wealth of the Inle region.

The visit of Amarapura begins with the Mahagandayon monastery, which houses more than a thousand young monks. Then, you will enjoy the legendary U Bein Bridge, the longest teak deck in the world, built in 1782. Enjoy the special atmosphere at sunset.

DAY 4 : MANDALAY

You will begin the day with the visit of Mahamuni and Kuthoda Pagodas, the latter houses “the world’s largest book” and is known for its 729 marble slabs, before leaving for the imposing Shwenandaw Monastery known as the “Golden Monastery” and famous for its wooden sculptures. You will stop at a monastery to exchange with the young monks who study English and who do not often have the opportunity to practice with strangers. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Yankin Hill to enjoy a panoramic view of the city at sunset, before going back down to the daily chanting of the monks, a true spiritual experience.

DAY 5 : MANDALAY / BAGAN

In the morning, you will discover life on the banks and visit a local market before being transferred to Paleik where you will take part in a special ritual in the snake temple. You will join the local pilgrims to bathe the pythons, a unique ceremony.

DAY 6 : BAGAN

Discover the temple of Ananda and participate in a Buddhist ceremony; make the offerings to the monks who give you their blessing in return. Departure to the village of Muinkaba for a meeting with local craftsmen in one of the most beautiful lacquer workshops of the country before visiting Gu Byaukgyi temple and magnificent mural paintings.
You will get on board of a carriage which will bring you between the temples, visit of the highest temple in the Thatbyinnyu region, as well as Dhammayangyi and finally the temple of Sulamani at sunset time …

DAY 7 : BAGAN / KALAW

Road to Kalaw, a 6 hour journey across small mountain roads along local villages and countryside. Many stops along the way to capture the mind-blowing sceneries. Arrival to Kalaw in the afternoon and time at leisure to stroll in the charming little mountain town.

DAY 8 : KALAW / INLE LAKE

Start the day with a short tour of the local market before heading to the village of Nyaung Shwe, gateway to Inle Lake, by train. Boat trip to reach and visit the main sites of Inle Lake through several villages.
Visit the Nga Chaung Hpe Monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha statues and the main sanctuary of the lake: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which houses five sacred images of Buddha, covered with gold leaf. Discover the different trades of Inle by visiting the village of Inpawkhone known for its weaving of lotus fibers, its workshop of cheroots (Burmese cigars) and its workshop of silver.

DAY 9 : INLE LAKE / INDEIN

After breakfast, you will visit the lake market and then, a one-hour trip will take you to Pa-Oh Indein village. Stroll through the village before you begin your ascent to the top of the hill. At nightfall, in Chinatown, visit Khen Hock Keong temple and its magnificent dragons statues before discovering the night market and its sellers of fruits and vegetables of all kinds.

DAY 3 : YANGON

Located in northeastern Vietnam, Halong Bay is bounded to the north by China and to the east by the Gulf of Tonkin.
The forest and the sea are the highlight of the province which is known for its natural resources, especially coal (which has been one of the main sources of income before the development of tourism in Viet-Nam).
Halong Bay is certified as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO for its natural beauties, with its magnificent karstic limestone landscape emerging from an emerald green water. It’s incredible visuals and ambience has become quickly one of the traveler’s favorite spots in Viet-Nam.
The city of Halong has other sectors of activity like; trade, port activities, coal industry, fishing, building materials and aquatic products processing.

DAY 8 : MANDALAY flight HEHO / PINDAYA

Transfer to Mandalay airport for your flight to Heho then departure for Pindaya.
You will meet a family in a village near Pindaya, and you will taste a freshly prepared cup of tea. Then, you will discover soy drying techniques and will have the possibility of helping the family in the tea plantations of the farm as well as in the preparation of the famous tea leaves.
Eventually, you will visit the wonderful caves of Pindaya.

DAY 9 : PINDAYA / INLE LAKE

Start the day with a short tour of the local market before heading to the village of Nyaung Shwe, gateway to Inle Lake. You might stop along the way to visit the traditional paper craft factories before heading to the Shweyanpyay teak monastery. You will get on board of a boat to reach and visit the main sites of Inle Lake through several villages.
Visit the Nga Chaung Hpe Monastery with its collection of ancient Buddha statues and the main sanctuary of the lake: Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, which houses five sacred images of Buddha covered with gold leaf. Discover the different trades of Inle by visiting the village of Inpawkhone known for its weaving of lotus fibers, its workshop of cheroots (Burmese cigars) and its workshop of silver.

DAY 10 : INLE LAKE / INDEIN / INLE LAKE

After breakfast, you will visit the lake market and then a one-hour trip will take you to Pa-Oh Indein village. Stroll through the village before you begin your ascent to the top of the hill. The Indein Pagoda complex is one of the lake’s most impressive sites, consisting of a hundred stupas covered with moss and greenery.
During the return trip, you can stop at Inthar Heritage House a not-for-profit organisation that preserves the cultural and natural wealth of the Inle region.

DAY 11 : INLE / HEHO flight YANGON flight YOUR CITY

Transfer to the airport and flight to Yangon.
