DAY 1 : HO CHI MINH / BUON MA THUOT

Departure to Buon Ma Thuot in the central highlands. The road goes through rubber, coffee and pepper plantations. We will make stops to discover these different plantations.  Lunch in a local restaurant on the way. 
Arrival to Buon Ma Thuot, discover the Dray Sap waterfall, literally “Mist waterfall” due to the impressive mist produced by its resounding fall. Stop in Aco Dhong village populated by members of the Ede ethnic minority, unforgettable encounters. Dinner in a restaurant in town. Night at the hotel.

DAY 2 : BUON MA THUOT

Visit of the museum of ethnology. Transfer to the Lak lake and its village inhabited by Mnong ethnic group. Start the discovery with a pirogue trip on the lake, breathtaking sceneries on this lake surrounded by hills.
Lunch in a restaurant nearby the lake. After lunch walk in the village to discover the locals’ way of life. You will enter a communal home for a gong and traditional song show performed by villagers. Tasting of local alcohol (wine rice fermented in a jar). Road back to Buon Ma Thuot. Dinner in a local restaurant. Night at the hotel.

DAY 3 : BUON MA THUOT / DA LAT

Road to Dalat through the plains surrounded by hills, coffee and manioc plantations, breathtaking off the beaten track sceneries. Photo stop at tea and coffee plantations. Lunch on the way. Stop at the Tuyen Lam lake and visit of the Truc Lam monastery, offering a panoramic view on the area. 
Discover the Datanla waterfalls, 10 km away from the center of Dalat. Arrival in Dalat. Walking around the artificial lake Xuan Huong and discover the central market. Dinner in a local restaurant. Night at the hotel.

DAY 4 : DA LAT / PHAN THIET

Visit of Dalat train station which is renowned in the country as the most beautiful, the highest in altitude, the oldest and the only one with a steam locomotive. Get on a train for a short trip to Trai Mat village with a stop at the Linh Phuoc pagoda. Lunch in a local restaurant. 
Transfer to Phan Thiet by a stunning mountain road, photo stop at the top of Dai Ninh pass. Check-in in at your hotel. Free time to enjoy the tropical beaches. Dinner at your own expense. Night in Resort

DAY 5 : PHAN THIET

DAY 3 : NGHIA LO / MU CANG CHAI

Visit of the market of Nghia Lo. Transfer to Mu Cang Chai by a stunning road surrounded by rice terraces, road listed as National Heritage. Stop at Tu Le valley and walk in this beautiful valley famous for its sticky rice renowned in the country. Lunch on the way. 
Road through the Khau Pha pass surrounded by clouds. Visit local communities and the famous rice terraces listed as National Heritage of Vietnam. Trekking “off the beaten track” in La Pan Tan on the slopes of mountains, through the fields and villages of the Hmong.  Arrival in the small mountain town of Mu Cang Chai in the late afternoon. DAY 4 : MU CANG CHAI / SAPA

Departure following a road surrounded by rugged mountains and deep ravines in the direction of Than Uyen. The scenery changes quickly with wavy mountains: the famous Hoang Lien Son range, the highest range in Indochina. Photo stop at the Heavenly door and the Silver Waterfall (Thac Bac) before reaching the town of Sapa. Lunch in a local restaurant in Sapa. 
Direction Muong Hoa valley to the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van (16 km from Sapa) through rice terrace landscapes that make Sapa’s notoriety. Discovery of local life in a Black Hmong hamlet. Dinner in a restaurant in town. Night at hotel.

DAY 5 : SAPA / HANOI

Road towards a village in the valley and more specifically its ethnic minority market which are attended by most ethnic groups: Hmong, Tay, Nung, Giay…   The markets: Coc Ly (Tuesday), Can Cau (Saturday) or Bac Ha (Sunday). Free time on the market, a real change of scenery! Lunch in a local restaurant. 
Road back to Hanoi via a brand new road. This spectacular road is surprising by its diversity of landscapes, it starts in the mountain descending slowly towards the valley. Arrival to Hanoi late afternoon. Dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 4 : HALONG BAY / HANOI

The sunrise is the best time to photograph Halong Bay and also for taking part in a Tai Chi course on the deck in a natural environment of the bay. Discover the fishermen floating villages.

Crossing the river by ferry along with localsOn the other side you will go through a countryside road surrounded by rice fields, on the way visit of a small local pagoda. 
Get into a way smaller path through a small village and embark on a small ferry, a glimpse of the real life of the delta. Next road along the river is boarded by fruit gardens and by many brick factories running on rice chaff. Departure for Mai Chau on Road No. 6 throughout a beautiful limestone hills region. Stop at a local market, opportunity to see typical crafts of the region. Several photo stops along the way to capture the astonishing nature.
Arrival to the beautiful Mai Chau valley around noon, installation into a traditional Thai house on stilt in the village of Van. Homestay lunch. Short walk in the valley to visit the surroundings of White Thai villages. Local dinner. Night in an Eco lodge surrounded by the hills.

DAY 5 : MAI CHAU / NINH BINH / HANOI

Road to the karst region Ninh Binh, known as “Ha Long Bay on land” thanks to its beauty and extraordinary landscape. Visit Dinh and Le Temple, an important remain of the ancient capital of Vietnam. Lunch at Ly Club Restaurant.
Continue with the ride by flat-bottomed boat on the river that winds through the limestone cliffs, untouched nature. Join a bike ride through many beautiful villages for local sights of Red River Delta and enjoy a Water Puppet show. Return to Hanoi late evening. Dinner at White Lotus located on the center of city.

DAY 6 : HANOI / BAI TU LONG BAY

Early morning departure to Bai Tu Long Bay, which occupies three quarters of the Ha Long Bay World Heritage site. Boarding on a cruise into the heart of the bay. Lunch will be served while the junk sails between islands and islets. 
Transfer from boat to rowing boat to visit the Vung Vieng fishing village, opportunity to see the fisherman’s daily life in a gorgeous setting. Late afternoon you’re offered an ideal chance to enjoy the beach (swimming, kayaking…). Before seafood dinner you will be initiated some traditional dishes by professional chef of the cruise. DAY 7 : BAI TU LONG BAY / HANOI / HUE

In the early morning be ready to take great photos. A Tai Chi lesson (according to the weather of the day) given by a professional teacher on the sundeck. It is also a fabulous moment enjoying breakfast in natural surrounding amidst the bay.

DAY 8 : HUE

DAY 9 : HUE / HOI AN

Transfer to Thanh Tien also known as flower village. Beginning with bike ride through the rice paddies full of buffalo, cattle, poultry and mostly flowers fields.  Stop at a local family to watch the manufacture of artificial paper flowers and learn to make these flowers under the guidance of an artist.  Continue cycling to theSinh village and visit the house of the artist Ky Huu Phuoc with typical drawing produced in rice paper. Road to Hoi An via the well-known Hai Van Pass that offers a splendid panoramic view over the Lang Co peninsula and many fishing village along the coast. Dinner in the elegant cozy space of Brother Café Restaurant. Night at the hotel.

DAY 10 : HOI AN

Walking tour in Ancient Town Hoi An: Chuc Thanh Pagoda, visit the Chinese Community House Fujian. Then walking among 800 buildings of historical interest and stop at the Japanese Covered Bridge. 
Departure to the Tra Que village, famous for its aromatic herbs often found in local food. Lunch in the habitant with local specialties.Take a small stroll in Learning the vegetable farming techniques of the farmers and some local corianders. Opportunity to get your unforgettable “farmer experience”. A foot massage with medicinal herbs in oriental methods is ready. Return to Hoi An late evening. Dinner at Full Moon Restaurant, located on the banks of the poetic Thu Bon River. This quiet peaceful place looks like a microcosm of the ancient town of Hoi An.

DAY 11 : HOI AN / DANANG Flight to HO CHI MINH

Transfer to Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer downtown. Lunch according to the flight schedule. 
Discovering colonial districts and the main historic sites of the city: The central post office designed by Gustave Eiffel’s workshop and is inspired from Parisian buildings. the Notre Dame Cathedral. Photo stop in front of the Reunification Palace. Walking tour in the lively Dong Khoi Street to the Municipal Theatre, the historic Continental Hotel, on the banks of Saigon River, City Hall, Ben Thanh Market … 
Tour in the Chinese district, visit of the local market Binh Tay. Small walk in the narrow streets filled with shops selling traditional medicine products and then visit of the impressive Thien Hau Pagoda. Dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant but with Europe architecture. Night at the hotel downtown: convenient for night walks.

DAY 12 : HO CHI MINH

Early departure towards Cu Chi Tunnels. This 200km long network of connecting tunnels was dug by the Viet Congs during the Vietnam War. Lunch at famous Ben Nay Restaurant. Return to Ho Chi Minh City late afternoon. Free time at your leisure for personal discovery.
Option: “Saigon by night” by Vespa or Jeep
At 6pm tour-guide and Vespa / Jeep driver will pick you up at your hotel. Arrival at local restaurant to enjoy Banh Xeo Pancake – specialty of the South Vietnam. DAY 5 : HALONG BAY / HANOI overnight train to HUE

Breakfast at dawn to observe the sunrise. DAY 6 : HUE

DAY 9 : QUY NHON

Departure towards Eo Gio, coastal village not far from Quy Nhon. Along the way stop in a Tuong Phat Doi pagoda home of a giant golden Buddha statue in Vietnam.

Photo stop in front of the Reunification Palace.Visit of the central post office, designed by Gustave Eiffel’s workshop, followed by Notre Dame Cathedral. Walk on the ex-Catinat street to the city hall, the municipal theatre and the historic“Continental” hotelLunch in a restaurant in town. 
Tour in Chinatown very commercial area, the great Binh Tay Market, the herbalists alleys the plants growing there are essential in traditional medicine. After this we will visit the Thien Hau Temple, known for his glazed ceramic statuettes. Dinner in the restaurant “Barbecue Garden”.Night at the hotel.

DAY 11 : HO CHI MINH / BEN TRE / CHO LACH

Departure to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta – knwon as the “capital of the coconut trees.” Arriving in Ben Tre we will take a boat in the heart of the delta.
After visiting a brick factory, wew ill continue discovering other businesses like factories making handmade crafts out of coconut fiber… we will take a Walk in a small village throughout schools, rice plateau, orchards and local houses, there, you will meet the warmly and welcoming locals. You will have lunch in your homestay with the specialty of the delta the “elephant ear fish“. Cruising along the arroyos in a traditional row boat, relax and enjoy the charming landscape and the scenery the area offers.
Visit a bonsai garden and a nursery on the way road to Cho Lach. we will stay for the night in the cottage of Mr. Nam Hien. Possibility to assist locals in the preparation of the traditional dishes that will be served during the dinner duck cooked in coconut milk, the specialty of the house. Night at the cottage (private room).

DAY 12 : CHO LACH / CAN THO

Bicycle ride to the nearby local market filled with fresh products from the delta. taking the road back throughout the little trails to a cottage where we will eat lunch.
We will have a typical meal with agricultural products from the region. Departure to Can Tho which is the largest city of the Delta. In order to cross the river of the Delta, we will take a ferry with locals. Later on we will Visit a Khmer pagoda with a typical and unique architecture.Dinner in a restaurant on the lively river banks. Night walk in the port of Ninh Kieu. Night at hotel in downtown.

DAY 13 : CAN THO / HO CHI MINH Flight to YOUR CITY

We will take the boat on the canal Nong Cai to discover the river activities and the Cai Rang floating market. You will have the opportunity to taste fresh fruits of the area, directly bought from a boat on the river.
Return to Ho Chi Minh city. Lunch along the way. Arriving at our destination in the end of the afternoon. Transfer to the airport for your return flight. Check-in formalities and boarding. Dinner and night on board.

DAY 14 : YOUR CITY

Breakfast on board. Arrival to your city.

The Must-Sees
In the Northern mountains, take a look at the stunning rice plateau landscapes, meet the various and diverse ethnic groups in their authentic villages, learn more about their customs and discover their way of life.
You will trek in its magnificent mountains where only few travelers venture. To immerge yourself in the heart of this nature and close to its local population; you will stay at Pan Hou Ecolodge, hidden in the mountain, where you will experience the warm ambience of a homestay.
In the North, you will visit the wonderful Hanoi, the only city of this trip. Another highlight of this region will be Cai Be National Park and its amazing nature with its beautiful waterfalls.

What will you do during your trip?
During the trip, you will have the opportunity to taste local delicacies, meals made by your Vietnamese hosts at your homestay. You will meet different ethnic minorities in the northern Vietnamese mountains and visit several villages known for their traditional handcraft but also for their customs. To meet them, you will have to hike in the different valleys from one village to another. The ethnic minorities families will invite you to stay in their home.
During your trek, you will witness the beautiful landscapes the region offers you.

DAY 1 : YOUR CITY Flight HANOI

Departure at your own expenses from the airport of your choice.
You will go through the check-in formalities and will board on a flight towards HANOI. Dinner and night on board.

DAY 2 : HANOI

You will be welcomed by your tour-guide and transfered to your hotel. You will have free time in order to recover from your flight.
Sightseeing around Ba Dinh square. Taking a look at The Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (from outside) and the one pillar Pagoda knwon for its original construction entirely made in teak emerging from a pillar. The Hoan Kiem lake, the city’s landmark holding the Ngoc Son temple and the The Huc Bridge. This tour will end in a magnificent colonial style house where you will be enjoying a welcoming dinner. Night at the hotel.

DAY 3 : HANOI / SAPA

We will drive to the northern mountains via a brand new road knwon for its surprising diverse landscapes.
Road for a fascinating valley surrounded by beautiful mountains. Short trekking session in the heart of the mountain villages hidden between the rice plateau, in areas untouched by mass tourism. Meet the eversmiling locals and Visit one of the villager’s houses wher you will taste a local tea. 
Back on the road to Sapa. Take a walk in this charming little mountain town and discover its businesses and its stoned church… The Diner at will be at your own expenses. Night at the hotel.

DAY 4 : TREKKING IN NAM HO VALLEY

Transfer towards Muong Hum which will serve as your base camp, from there we will start our ascenscion and follow a large path from our base for a 20 minutes up steep hill by the side of Den Thang Mountain.
Taking a turn to a large earthen path running on high elevation of the mountain side, passingthrough farm lands and some small hamlets of the Hmong peoples a fascinating panoramaof the Nam Ho Valley. Leave the large path and follow a narrow dirt track to come down to a barrage at the bottom of the valley.
Picnic on the rocks by a small creek. Crossing the Nam Ho Stream, trekking along the narrow dirt track through Rice plateau and lush tea farms scattered on the high side of Khu Chu Phin Mountain. Then the trail winds up and down between the forest and farmed lands before arriving to Lang Moi Village and the 40 Hmong families, meet welcoming Hmongsbefore checking in for your home-stay, dinner with local dishes and stay overnight in a house of a Hmong family.

DAY 5 : TREKKING IN NAM PEN VALLEY

Start trekking along the dirt trail, passing through the stunning Nam Pen Valley to Ki Quan San Village of the White Hmong. You will meet them in their everyday routine at home and on the fields. Then, follow a narrow paved path to visit the Nam Pen Village hidden at the foot of Nhiu Co San Mountain before having a quick lunch break. 
Continue trekking along the narrow path through a luxuriant natural forest to the hamlet of the Red Zao ethnicity which is set on the top of a mountain and dominating Nam Pen Valley. Trekking downhill through the village of the Red Zao etnicity named Ki Quan San Tren.
Visit of local homes, meeting with the Red Zao peoples to learn more about the way they live and their strong and unique culture.
Check in for your home-stay, finally a free walk for the rest of the day to enjoy the sunset.
Dinner with local dishes. Stay overnight in a wooden house of a Red Zao family.

DAY 6 : TREKKING IN PIENG LAO VALLEY / SAPA

Breakfast at the homestay. We will leave for a trekking session along large villages paths for about three hours around the prosperous Pieng Lao Valley, knwon for its impressive terraced rice fields and for the Day ethnicity populating the area in beautiful villages sat along the Ta Loi Stream. Follow the path running along the stream and cross the suspension bridge leading to Phin Pao Village of the Zao people. Explore this village before a lunch break in a local home. After lunch, back to the trekking along the narrow dirt track which sneak among the rice fields, cross the Ta Le Stream wihich will take about an hour before winding uphill through Ta Le Village of the Red Zao to Sin Chai Village of the Ha Nhi ethnic. Explore local houses and meet the Ha Nhi peoples whose population is only 12,489 individual in Vietnam. Back to our base camp at Muong Hum Valley, you will be able to take a shower before heading to Sapa via Ban Khoang and Ta Giang Phinh with quick photo stops along the way. Arriving to Sapa chek in for your hotel. Dinner at your own expenses. Night at the hotel.

DAY 7 : SAPA / HOANG SU PHI

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of Sapa’s local market. Taking the road to Hoang Su Phi, take a look at the astonishing sceneries with its beautiful terrace rice fields, the streams, its impsoing mountains and valleys, the plum trees… We will have few stops along the way so you can enjoy the spectacular view. (Lunch on the way.)
Stop in Thong Nguyen village to walk around and meet the warmly locals.
Arriving at Pan Hou Ecolodge, which is where you will spend your night, in you will sleep in charming ecofriendly bungalows set in the heart of the mountains. Diner and night at the lodge.

DAY 8 : HOANG SU PHI

Breakfast at the lodge while enjoying the tranquility and the view the mountain offers. This journey will again, be dedicated to trekking in the mountains (many trekking levels are available). As allways you will witness astonishing sceneries of terrace rice fields melting in tea plantation. Visit the Nam Hong village populated by Red Dzao peoples. Lunch in a local house. Get back on the trails towards Nam Ai village to meet some members of the long dresses Dzao ethic minority. Late afternoon, road back to Pan Hou. Dinner and night at the lodge.

DAY 9 : HOANG SU PHI / BA BE

Breakfast at the lodge. Back on the road to Ba Be following a narrow mountain road. Many stops along the way to discover some local markets and enjoy the view. Arriving in Ba Be visit the Pac Ngoi village, home of the Tay ethnic minority living on fishing and agriculture. Make yourself comfortable in a house on stilts and enjoy the view on the river flowing into Ba Be Lake.Lunch with the locals. Walking around the village to discover the traditional way of life of the Tay’s, you can help them with the daily tasks to really get in touch with the place and its population an unforgettable experience. Dinner and night in the host family.

DAY 10 : BA BE / HANOI

Breakfast with the host family. Transfer to Buoc Luom jetty to start your boat trip on the Ba Be Lake surrounded by the karstic mountains. The scenery is extraordinary, off the beaten trackand the landscapes is very diverse, mountains, fields and jungle srrounding the entire area. The boat follows the Nang River and passes through the Puong cave before arriving to Dau Dang waterfall. Lunch along the way. After the Boat ride, we will take the road back towards Hanoi. taking a path out of the main touristic roads, the scenery will slowly change from mountain to the valley filled with rice fields. Arrival in Hanoi and check-in at the hotel. Diner at your own expenses.
